The Mission, also known simply as Mission, is a vibrant San Francisco neighborhood considered as the home of Latino culture in the city.
Bordered by Mission Dolores, Eureka Valley, and Noe Valley to the west, SOMA to the north, Mission Bay and Potrero Hill to the east, and Bernal Heights to the south, Mission is a highly dynamic and diverse community that has been constantly evolving.

- 24th Street pulsates with Latin influences, with Latin music playing in the background and long-time Mexican and South American restaurants and establishments along it. The corridor also has the highest concentration of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo-inspired street murals in all of The Mission. The side street, Balmy Alley, features over 30 of these murals.
- 20th Street and its surrounding areas are where you will find new restaurants with a more international feel, including Ethiopian and French restaurants, as well as themed establishments like Foreign Cinema, which shows foreign films on its walls.
- Valencia Street is home to a wide assortment of restaurants, clothing shops, bookstores, music stores, and other establishments, mostly catering to the younger demographic.
- As with other neighborhoods in the area, Dolores Park is also an important hub for Mission residents.
