January Events in San Francisco Part 3

January has always been a festive month in San Francisco. Here are a few more events happening this month:

Zinfandel Experience (ZinEX) Grand Tasting 2018
January 20, 2018, 11 a.m.
1098 The Embarcadero

Gain access to over 500 Zinfadels and Zinfadel blends by 120 of the leading producers from around the world. Guests can look forward to private reserve wines and barrel samples that they won’t find anywhere else.

The Grand Tasting is the culminating event of ZenEX, a three-day celebration the massive appeal of this varietal. It brings some of the best wine producers and sommeliers to San Francisco for a memorable weekend.

The festivities begin on January 19 with Trade Tasting, an invite-only event that gives VIPs the advance opportunity to sample the newest Zinfadels in the market.

ZinEx offers extraordinary food and wine pairings that any wino will enjoy. Other highlights include seminars, live and auctions, and an elegant dinner. Learn a thing or two from visiting sommeliers, get the chance to buy rare wines, and feast on delicious farm-to-table dishes.

The Great Mac ‘n Cheese Melt-off!

SoMa StrEat Food Park

Come to San Francisco’s largest and most vibrant food truck park – SoMa StrEat Food Park is hosting the Great Mac ‘n Cheese Melt-off. The event is bringing over 15 pop-up vendors and food trucks together, all of which will be offering mac ‘n cheese specials to lucky attendees.

Diners will be voting for the best mac ‘n cheese served at the event, so drop by and make your voice count. Find out what kind of unique and creative spins food vendors will put on this classic dish.  Craft beer will also be served at the event.

San Francisco Restaurant Week
January 22 – 31, 2018

SF Restaurant Week is back to give you another round of culinary delights. Over 100 participating restaurants will be offering prix fixe menus especially created for this 10-day event. Eat in style as the city’s dining hotspots showcase their most popular and unique dishes. Get incredible food bargains. Try different food and wine pairings. Experience the best that the SF culinary scene has to offer.

Previous participants include acclaimed restaurants like Maruya, Roka Akor, and Mezcalito.
